I have over twenty years working as a writer and media relations professional. My educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Women Studies and a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Sciences from San Francisco State University.
After working as Public Relations Director for the California National Organization for Women for seven years, I started my own media services company to provide full-spectrum public relations for a variety of clients. I have done local, state, national and global media campaigns, conducted interviews with local, state and national media outlets, and gotten media placement in such publications/outlets as New York Times, Sacramento Bee, Newsday, Bitch Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, San Jose Mercury News, San Diego Union-Tribune, Feminist Magazine Radio Show, KPFK Radio, CNN, Marin Independent Journal, Flagpole Magazine, ABC 7 (San Francisco), NBC 7 (San Jose), Sacramento News and Review, San Diego Magazine, TV Guide, Sacramento Magazine, San Francisco Weekly, Bust Magazine, Atlanta Journal and Constitution, Boston Phoenix, Women's eNews, CommonDreams.com, Huffington Post, Salon.com, Feministing.com, and NPR.
As a media junkie, I try to stay up on current publications and trends in the field, and use this interest to inform my work for my clients. I pride myself on top-notch customer service, and delivering a product that helps my clients thrive in their media relations efforts.
